5. JOSHUA TREE
the desert is a special place, and Joshua Tree is no exception. Just a short 2 hour drive from Los Angeles you will feel worlds away. Take a trip through Joshua Tree National Park where many trail heads await your adventurous soul. Many areas are dog friendly! Speak with the rangers before entering and get yourself a map to know where your best bud can/cant hang out.

This coastal town just south of San Francisco always makes me feel like I am in a different country. The cozy lobby bar and scenic views won't disappoint.

When its cold and foggy on the coast, its hot and sunny in this little oasis called Malibu Canyon. We love going up here to escape and re-charge. There is something about the peacefulness of the canyon and the open space that makes you feel like you're not quite in Kansas anymore.
